اضطراب ضغوط ما بعد الصدمة (PTSD) وعلاقته ببعض المتغيرات لدى ضحايا الحرب من المعاقين حركيًا في مدينة تعز

Abstract

  The purpose  of  this  research  is to identify the level of post traumatic stress disorder among  handicapped  victims of war  in Taiz  city. It  also identifies  the differences  in this  disorder  according  to some  variables (the  social situation, degree of handicap, kind of  handicap).                                                                                                

       The sample of the  research  consisted of (100) handicapped  victims of war, and  the  researcher used with them the post-traumatic stress disorder scale for Davidson which was translated by Abdu Alazez Thabet. Then the researcher used suitable statistical methods, and the results indicated that percentage(41%)suffered from high disorder, percentage (36%) suffered from moderate disorder , percentage(14%) suffered from low disorder, and percentage (9%) didn’t appear to have symptoms of the disorder. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between respondents on post- traumatic stress disorder scale according to the social situation variable. Where as in degree of handicap variable(partial, total),there were statistically significant differences for the  total handicap, and there were differences in kind  of handicap variable(paralysis, amputation, others) and they were for paralysis then for amputation.                                                                            

      In the light of these results, the researcher presented  a group of recommendations and suggestions.
