The perceptions of middle school mathematics teachers towards the use of augmented reality technology in teaching geometry

The study aimed to identify the perceptions of middle school mathematics teachers towards the use of augmented reality technology in teaching geometry, and to know the effect of the variables of academic qualification, number of years of teaching, and training courses on the sample’s perceptions. In order to achieve the research objectives and answer its questions, the researcher used the descriptive approach while the study sample consisted of (25) female mathematics teachers of the middle school in the city of Abha, who were chosen randomly. The researcher designed a questionnaire as a tool for the study, which included (17) items. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the perceptions of middle school mathematics teachers regarding the use of augmented reality technology in teaching geometry, as the arithmetic mean reached (3.88). The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) for the variables of number of years of teaching, academic qualification, and the number of training courses on augmented reality technology. in the light of the results, the study presented a set of recommendations and proposals.Downloads
