Abstract

This research dealt with the issue of wiping over the socks. The relationship between the terminological and linguistic meaning of the shoe. The aim of the research is to explain the ruling on wiping over slippers if they are made of any material other than leather, which is usual in the manufacture of slippers, and the disagreement contained in that issue. The method used in this research is the descriptive method and the investigative method. Research Results: - Ibn al-Fanari is considered one of the Hanafi scholars who worked in knowledge and issuing fatwas. He wrote many works and books, and one of those works is this treatise that is in our hands. - This message is considered one of the important messages in this section, as it edits the issue and quotes the sayings of the imams of the Hanafi school of thought from their sources, and then extracts the most correct opinion on the issue. - Imam Al-Fanari favored the permissibility of wiping over socks at all, whether or not there was something worn underneath, based on the evidence and reports mentioned in this section. - The author relied in his book on the works and books of the Hanafi school of thought, while referring in some issues to the books of the Malikis and Shafi’is. Most important recommendations: - Directing researchers to investigate manuscripts, many of which are full in private and public libraries, and working to facilitate and overcome the difficulties that researchers face in obtaining these manuscripts or benefiting from them. - Interest in studying jurisprudential issues and contemporary issues that affect the public, especially in the sections of worship.
