The Possibility of Implementing the Strategic Entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University from the Teaching Staff’s Point of view

Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying the possibility of implementing the strategic entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University from the Teaching Staff’s Point of view and highlighting the obstacles that impede its implication. The researcher collected the data through the descriptive method and a questionnaire consisting of (44) items that targeted a non-probability sampling of (42) teaching staff (72% of the study population). The collected data were analysed by using SPSS. The findings showed the following: 1- The possibility of implementing the strategic entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University from the Teaching Staff’s Point of view was، in general، within a medium degree with a mean of (2.97) and a standard deviation of (.581). The strategic vision came first with a mean of (3.13) and a standard deviation of (.768). Then it came the entrepreneurial leadership with a mean of (3.04) and a standard deviation of (.736). The administrative creativity came next with a mean of (2.88) and a standard deviation of (.492)، and finally the organizational performance came with a mean of (2.81) and a standard deviation of (.533). 2- There was no statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample regarding the gender variable and years of service on the possibility of implementing the strategic entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University. 3- There was statistically significant differences between the responses of the Bachelor and PH.D holders regarding the educational qualifications (Bachelor-Master-Ph.D) on the possibility of implementing the Strategic Entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University in favour of the ph.d holders and the statistically significance differences between the responses of the Master and PH.D holders in favour of the PH.D holders 4- There was no statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample regarding the number of service years variable (less than 5 years- 5-10 years-more than 10 years) on the possibility of implementing the Strategic Entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University. The obstacles that hinder the implementing the strategic entrepreneurship in Hodeidah University (in general) came in a high degree with a mean of (3.56) and a standard deviation of (2.047).
