The Level of the Environmental Awareness and Its Relation with Achievement in Environmental Subject of The Second Year Students of Biology Department / College of Education –Saber

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of the environmental awareness and its relation with achievement in Environmental subject  of the second year students of Biology department / college of Education –saber. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire relates to the  environmental awareness for students .It consist of (41) sentences it was distributed to 40 students.  Its validity and reliability were asserted. 

The sample of the study consist of (40)  student of the second year students of Biology department. The researcher depends on the grades of final exam of the subject environment taught at the first semester of the year 2016/2017 and applied awareness scale to environmental awareness for students by using Pearson conjunction factor .

    The results of the study showed that the level of the students^, environmental awareness was high (86%).And the results also showed lack of statistical significant differences at the level of significance (α =0,05) in the level of environmental awareness attributed to the gender variable .

     The researcher found that the correlation factor researching is
  (0,22) .This result reveals appositive but weak relation between the level of students ^,awareness and their achievement in the subject of environment.
