This study examined the reality of food security and its impact on its national security in order to identify the main features of food security and its impact on the Yemeni national security according to two main axes. The first axis deals with the production of food according to the available area for growing the different types of grains, vegetables, fruits and quantity produced for successive years. The livestock production refers to the number of livestock - cattle, sheep, goats and camels and their derivatives of meat and dairy products. In addition to fish production of different varieties by explaining the quantity produced for different periods with reference to the main reasons that contributed to the change in quantity produced. The second axis dealt with the impact of food security on the strength of the state and its national security by analyzing the strength and weakness of the main features of Yemen's food security. The study concluded that the main features of Yemen's food security are identified in both the plant and animal production aspects, which are a weak factor in the state's power to reduce their contribution to self-sufficiency and high dependency ratio.
